a pants size, that is. Bought several things in a size 10 today. I did buy one perfect pair of pants that are just a touch too small for me, and hung them up next to my bed so they can remind me how perfect they are.

Summer camp is open tomorrow, but hubby and I are both off of work. We get a free day!! I have no idea what we're going to do, but we'll figure out something, I'm sure.

In other news, the denim skirt I bought about 3 months ago and was just a bit too small? Now needs to be taken in more than an inch.

This wedding is in 3 weeks. It is an evening wedding in a country club on the Jersey Shore, and the family is Catholic. I'm told by people (ok, person) in the know in the bridal industry that an iconic little black dress would be perfectly acceptable ( Read more... )

There are several people who have offered to come dress shopping with me. I've got a haircut appointment this Saturday at 1 pm at University Mall (which actually has a few dress shops), but other than that and lunch, I'm pretty much free all day. I think something in my brain has flipped a switch, because I'm now, for the first time, determined to work on the weight-loss thing for the long haul. ( Brain change )

So asim posted this thing about shoes, and I just got my hair 'done' Tuesday, and I'm still fuming over a doctor telling me that I could lose 20 pounds just by changing what I eat even though walking down the hall to get a drink of water is a bit much for me right now, all of which adds up to a post about self-image and body-consciousness ( Read more... )
